This shower base is cheap and cheerful. I battled with the thought of buying a more expensive one, but I’m glad I didn’t. The trap has a cheap look and feel to it, but it works perfectly well (bear in mind as it is a shallow trap you’ll need to clean it quite regularly). I was concerned that it might crack when setting it in place, but it didn’t - I think having the drain in the corner rather than the middle helps reduce that risk.

The tray was no good so they told me get rid and give me my money back so I did. Then they told me I couldn't get a refund from them had to go through amazon. Rang amazon they wanted it back I had already taken it to the tip and when I went back to the tip it had gone so am £87 down and had to bye a new one thanks for nothing.

I had to replace the pump for my en-suite shower so decided to replace everything and the most important change was the shower tray. This one was a lower height than the original and less than half the weight, although at 25kg, it isn't flimsy at all! Due to the restriction on the width of the shower and location of the new water pump, the location of the waste at the back corner was key to maximising the flow of the waste water to allow the pump to push the water up and out through the adjoining bathroom waste system. The tray is well designed and the tray slopes from the front to the back corner (in my shower) to allow maximum drainage. The waste supplied is very good as well. I didn't expect the tray to be as important to the look of the new shower cubicle but it's anti-slip base is not overt at all and adds to the feeling of quality.

The durability is not great, after a few years there are scratches and a part of the resin is peeling away from the concrete base and waste flow is not good enough
